Sculpture for Redwoods Centre, Shrewsbury
Client: South Staffordshire Health Trust 2012
A commission to create artworks for a new hospital:
"Clee Panoramic", a wall-based relief sculpture made from recycled wood and photo tiles. Elizabeth worked on this project over a series of months with service users at Shelton Hospital and Shropshire poet Michael Thomas. The design is based on views of landscape from Clee Hill and features lines of poetry written by the participants.
The landscape theme was continued in two new wooden benches carved by Keith for the hospital grounds. Made from oak and ash trees felled to make way for the new building, one had a relief of Shropshire hills and the other a view of the historic Shelton Hospital.
