Acton bench pathway

This 10 month art residency was part of a wider research project, “Creativity Matters”, with Wimbledon School of Art, exploring how art develops creativity in early learning. Elizabeth ran weekly workshops with the children to explore South Acton through photography, drawing and sculpture. The sculpture pathway  between the trees uses images and landscape shapes from the local area. The children use it as the backdrop for their own stories and adventures.

For a more detailed account of the project you can follow the link and read an article written by Elizabeth on pages 22 to 29 in Perfect Practices. Autumn 2006.
